University of Warsaw
A node of the carrier frequency dissemination network at the University of Warsaw is based on an optical frequency comb, which enables optical frequencies measurements at a very high level of precision and accuracy. Thanks to referencing the comb to an optical atomic clock these measurements and absolute.
The spectrum emitted by the laser covers the 750-1100 nm wavelength range, typically used in the spectroscopy of alkali dimers. The comb enables precise characterization of spectral properties of continuous wave lasers used not only in AMO physics but also, for example, in condensed matter experiments.
