The OCM microscope is designed for high-resolution microscopic imaging of dynamic and static objects with the use of backscattered light. Thanks to the combination of detection in the time domain and detection in the Fourier domain, the device is capable of high-resolution imaging of selected layers of the object, with axial discrimination exceeding the capabilities of confocal microscopy and incomparably higher speed, while maintaining high sensitivity, characteristic of Fourier detection. The device is based on the OCM technique with the use of light incoherent in time and space or a tuned laser.
Basic parameters:
- transverse resolution from 0.5 um to 0.8 um depending on the radiation length of the selected source (range from green to near infrared), longitudinal resolution from 1 um
- time of data acquisition for high-resolution imaging of a selected layer with a resolution of 512×512 pix2 is from 100 us
- the time of collecting 3D data in the fast imaging mode 512x512x512 pix3 is 51.2 ms
- sensitivity 76 dB with a beam power incident on the sample of 4.5 mW
Elements included in the station:
- Linnik interferometer
- high-speed 2D camera
- light source (optional LED or tuned laser)
- electronic circuits synchronizing the acquisition and phase modulation
- data acquisition and processing system
