The setup for laser surface microstructuring allows for surface shaping and in some cases introducing changes in the volume of various materials with the use of laser micro-ablation methods. By means of a focused laser beam, the material is selectively removed in layers, which allows the creation of three-dimensional structures with a resolution comparable to the laser wavelength.
