Contact person :

The station with a thermal imaging camera is dedicated to advanced thermal diagnostics of objects on both macro and micro scales. In R&D work, it enables quick and practical verification of design assumptions related to thermal balance and allows easy detection of areas prone to thermal damage in electronic and optoelectronic systems.

The camera can record static thermal images and films with widely defined exposure parameters. In addition, software cooperating with the camera allows rich filtering and analysis of collected image or movie sequences, graphs of temperature changes over time for selected points, and plotting temperature profiles along a chosen line.

Elements included in the station:

  • The FLIR T640 thermal imaging camera with a 640×480 dot resolution detector operating in the 7.5-14 µm measurement range of -40 to +2000 o The built-in digital camera allows the creation of mixed images
  • Universal lens with 25ox19o field of view providing angular resolution of 0.68 mrad. Lens equipped with automatic focusing
  • Macro lens with 16mmx12mm field of view providing image resolution of 25µm per pixel
