The stand with a spectrally narrow tunable laser operating in the range of the third optical window, thanks to its wide automatic tuning range, high power constancy in this range, and low output noise, is ideal for performing advanced optical measurements of fiber optic telecommunications components and systems. The narrow spectral line allows the source to be used for interferometer systems. Precise scanning and broad modulation capabilities allow to study and build advanced laser spectrometry systems.

Elements included in the station:

  • Tunable laser EXFO T100S-HP-CL-M wavelength range 1500 – 1630 nm, output power over the entire scanning range +10dBm, spectral line width 400 kHz or >40 MHz, amplitude modulation in the band DC – 200 MHz, wavelength modulation up to +/- 48 pm
