Dr. hab. Eng. Erwin Maciak
He has been employed at the Silesian University of Technology since 2005. Until 2009 he worked at the Institute of Physics of the Silesian University of Technology as an assistant professor. Since 2009 he has been employed as an assistant professor in the Department of Optoelectronics of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology. His research interests include development of chemooptical and chemoelectronic sensor structures, opto- and microelectronic gas sensors as well as the characterization of transducers along with the analysis of the mechanisms of the impact of the tested gas analyte on physicochemical properties of the receptor material in the sensor structure.
He is the author or co-author of over 150 publications and scientific reports, including 52 publications in journals indexed in the Web of Science d-a-t-a-b-a-s-e (Hirsch index H = 16, number of citations 602). He is also a co-creator of six national patents. He also participated in the development of four original design and construction
achievements.
