Dr. hab. Eng. Gabriela Statkiewicz-Barabach
She graduated in technical physics, specializing in biomedical engineering from the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST) in 2003. After obtaining her PhD degree in 2007, she was employed in the Institute of Physics at WUST. In 2016, she obtained a post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in physical sciences. Currently, she is an employee of the Department of Optics and Photonics at the Faculty of Fundamental Technological Problems of WUST. Her scientific interests focus on fiber optics, in particular fiber optic sensors and technologies for manufacturing fiber optic structures, including Bragg gratings and long- period gratings of various types. The results of her research have been published in 40 articles in international scientific journals, which have been cited over 780 times (without self-citations), h index = 19.
