Prof. Dr. hab. Krzysztof Abramski
He is the NLPQT coordinator at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He obtained his PhD degree in technical sciences, habilitation and the title of professor in 1979, 1993 and 2002, respectively. He is an expert in the field of widely understood photonics. He carried out a number of pioneering and ground-breaking research works in the field of stabilization of gas lasers and CO2 lasers excited at a high-frequency (currently widely used in the industry). He is a founder of the Laser & Fiber Electronics Group at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, which under his leadership has carried out research in the field of fiber optics (lasers and amplifiers), generation of ultra-short pulses, solid microlasers for applications in metrology, vibrometry and laser micro-machining. He completed scientific internships at Twenty University of Technology, Hull University and Heriot-Watt University. He is the author and co-author of over 100 works indexed in JCR, cited over 3000 times, and of over 20 patents. He promoted 21 doctors of science. He is the initiator of English-language specializations at the Faculty of Electronics of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology: Electronic and Computer Engineering (engineering studies) and Advanced Applied Electronics (master's studies).
