Dr. hab. Eng. Michał Nikodem
In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of Electronics at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. At the same faculty, he obtained his PhD in technical sciences in 2010. In the years 2010–2012, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Princeton, USA. From 2012 to 2018 he worked as the leader of a research group at the Wrocław Research Center EIT+. Since 2017, he has been employed in the Faculty of Optics and Photonics at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In 2018, he obtained the postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in science, and from 2019 he has been employed as an associate professor. His research interests include practical applications of semiconductor laser sources and optical fibers. He is an expert in the field of laser gas detection in the near and medium infrared spectral range and co-authored nearly 40 publications in scientific journals. He has also given over 30 presentations at thematic conferences (mainly international), and is a co-author of four patents (including two international ones). PI of four ongoing or completed research grants.
