MSc. Eng. Olga Szewczyk

A PhD student in the Laser & Fiber Electronics Group. She conducts research on the application of microstructured optical fibers for the spectral conversion of laser pulses in the range from 1560 nm to 2000 nm, using the effect of the Raman soliton tuning. As a part of her research, she also develops numerical models of the propagation of laser pulses in optical fibers, with particular emphasis on the effect of the soliton self-frequency shift (SSFS).
