Dr. Eng. Tadeusz Martynkien
He graduated in Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST) in 1996. In the same year, he began his PhD studies at the Institute of Physics of WUST, which he finished in 2000 with a PhD degree in physics. Afterwards, he was employed as an assistant and since 2001 as an assistant professor at the Institute of Physics of WUST. Currently he is employed as an assistant professor in the Department of Optics and Photonics of WUST. He is a co-author of over 65 publications included into the Philadelphia list, cited over 1,300 times (without self-citations), his Hirsch index h = 23. He participated in the implementation of over 10 research grants, including 3 international ones. He has over 20 years of experience in experimental characterization and numerical modelling of special optical fibers.
