The station allows for comprehensive characterization of linear and nonlinear optical properties of materials, nanostructures and liquids in the spectral range from 193 nm to 16,000 nm. In particular, the station allows measurments of:
- transmission and reflection coefficients as a function of incident angle,
- nonlinear refractive index (Kerr-type nonlinearity) and two-photon nonlinear absorption coefficient (values obtained using z-scan method),
- dispersion of materials (SEA TADPOLE method),
- amplitude and phase of light pulses (FROG method),
- dynamics of physical and chemical phenomena (pump and probe method),
- generation of higher harmonics of light.
The system also allows direct laser writing and controlled laser ablation.
Elements included in the station:
- Pulsed femtosecond laser with variable repetition rate (10W, 190fs Pharos SP)
- Optical parametric amplifier for the 193 nm-16,000nm range (Orpheus)
- IsoPlane 320 spectrometer with imaging cameras for the 350-1.8 um spectral range
- Spectrum analyzers 900-1700nm and 1000 nm – 14 µm for spectral range
- Peristaltic pump
